Our office offers all phases of dental care. However, if you have a special need, Dr. Stangebye will work closely with all of the local specialists. Our range of services includes:
If you are afraid to go to the dentist….RELAX! With sedation dentistry, years of dental problems can easily be treated in one or two appointments. Sedation dentistry allows you to be sedated just enough to be pain free and unaware of the treatment, as if you were relaxing.
If you have sensitive teeth, a strong gag reflex, hate needles, or just a general fear of going to the dentist, sedation dentistry can help you! With sedation dentistry, you may only need one or two appointments to complete your treatment.
Since 1990 Dr. Stangebye and his team have devoted themselves to serving patients of all ages. We welcome families and enjoy getting to know each and every one of our patients. Kid’s Day is especially popular with our younger patients. Six times per year we devote our office solely to the care of children (18 and under).
On these days parents can be assured all of their children will be seen on the same day. Smaller children have the opportunity to see that going to the dentist can be a positive experience and form habits that will last a lifetime!
A world of opportunities awaits us in dentistry today. Through advancements in treatment and research, we can help you achieve the smile you have always wanted. It is now possible to completely transform your smile with whitening, veneers, crowns, implants and bridgework in a few simple appointments. With the advent of new products and technology you may choose the type of smile you desire. We can change the color, the shape and the size of your existing teeth.
There is no need to be embarrassed by missing teeth. You are not alone. Some people lose teeth due to injury, tooth decay or periodontal disease (infection of the gums and bone surrounding teeth). Others may not have had all their teeth grow in.
If you have lost a tooth and are considering replacement, dental implants are a wonderful option to replace missing teeth. Dental implants use your jaw to hold the tooth replacement in place rather than anchoring it to a healthy, neighboring tooth. Dental implants are natural looking and feel and function as natural teeth.
When the nerve of a tooth is irreversibly damaged by decay or an injury, the pulp tissue may become infected. This can result in pain, swelling and sensitivity to hot or cold. Don’t panic!
If you have been told that you need a root canal, it means that your tooth can be saved instead of being removed. The procedure itself is not painful, and there is little discomfort afterwards. A root canal can be a much healthier and less expensive treatment than having a tooth extracted.
